2.5. Hydrogen Diffusion into Air in a 1D Duct

This tutorial illustrates the setup and solution of hydrogen diffusion into air in a 1D duct. This tutorial demonstrates how to do the following:

  • Generate the mesh using the built-in mesh generation tool.

  • Set numerical control parameters.

  • Enable the second-order discretization scheme.

  • Set gas properties, initial conditions and boundary conditions.

  • Set physical models for a species diffusion problem.

  • Set output parameters.

  • Generate and check the GASFLOW input file.

  • Set the remote GASFLOW server and run a calculation.

  • Plot the calculation results.

1) GASFLOW input file

Note: Please manually create two folders named "input" and "output" in the directory where the .gsv file resides. The "input" and "output" folders will be automatically generated only when initiating a new project in GASVIEW.

2) Comparison to the analytical solutions
